Two of my deep loves since childhood are the ocean and space. I was looking at an old photograph I took of these Pacific Sea Nettle jellyfish, and imagining them floating through the stars.
The background of the image is edited from a public domain image taken using the James Webb Space Telescope, with credit to NASA, ESA, CSA, STScI. The foreground of the image is my own photo which I have touched up and then digitally manipulated using a line integral convolution tool to give it an oil painting effect.
